ACA Acupuncture & Wellness just recently opened a new acupuncture and wellness center in San Jose, California.

ACA Acupuncture and Wellness San Jose CA CenterThe center is located in Silicon Valley, and its neighbors include, Google, Apple, and Facebook. It serves patients from the Southern Bay Area. The managing acupuncturist at ACA San Jose is Dr. Zhuying Huang.

Dr. Huang is a licensed and certified acupuncturist in California. She received her first Chinese medicine degree in 1999 from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the top-ranked University in Chinese Medicine (5-year program). After she came to the United States, she got a BSPS degree from pharmacy school at Purdue University and a doctorate of acupuncture and oriental medicine.

In a recent interview, we asked Dr. Huang what it was that inspired her to want to practice acupuncture. She shared a story about when she was a young girl in China, she developed troubling symptoms that no one could diagnose. Her parents took her to various doctors in an effort to relieve the symptoms that she was experiencing and to gain an understanding of what was going on. It wasn’t until she received Chinese herbs from a family member who was a doctor of Chinese medicine that her symptoms vanished. This experience, combined with watching her father practice acupuncture over the years while she was growing up, solidified her faith in the effectiveness of Chinese medicine. It is what led her to become an acupuncturist herself.

Dr. Huang commonly treats patients for pain management, fatigue, depression, anxiety, women’s health, allergies, diabetes, and much more.

Recently, Dr. Huang had a patient whose doctor recommended that she receive surgery for a hip replacement. Her doctor told her that surgery was the only option but this left the patient feeling unsettled. With consistent acupuncture over the course of 2 years, the patient reports that her symptoms are almost gone. The constant pain that she was having is now manageable and often barely noticeable. Dr. Huang also has many patients that come to her for the treatment of their allergies. She told us that she has very rapid results treating allergies with acupuncture and that, within minutes, patients may feel relief from certain allergy symptoms.

Dr. Huang specializes in scalp acupuncture.

Meet Dr. Huang: ACA - San Jose ACA Acupuncture and Wellness

Scalp acupuncture has proven to be very effective in the treatment and prevention of disease through the proper insertion of needles into scalp areas. It is accompanied by special manipulations to regulate and harmonize the functional activities of the brain and body, as well as to restore and strengthen the functions of the body, organs, and tissues. Scalp acupuncture is used to treat a wide variety of diseases and is especially effective for the treatment of stroke. The needles used in scalp acupuncture do not need to be inserted as deeply as in general acupuncture which also makes it appealing to some patients.

Dr. Huang is looking forward to getting the word out about ACA San Jose and to having the opportunity to treat as many patients as possible from the Bay Area.
