ACA Washington Heights Acupuncture & Wellness is located one block away from New York Presbyterian, Columbia University and Irving Medical Center. We’ve been providing high quality and effective patient care in the same location for over 15 years.
The managing acupuncturist at our ACA Washington Heights Acupuncture is Dr. Helen Zheng. She graduated from the Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a NY and WI licensed acupuncturist who has earned a NCCAOM Acupuncture Diploma.
Dr. Zheng believes in the “magic” of acupuncture and in a recent interview, she emphasized the influence of her patient’s belief in the effectiveness of treatment that positively contribute to the results that her patient’s experience. Dr. Zheng happened to have a recent success story to share that relates directly to this belief. A patient came to see her a few weeks ago who had never received acupuncture before. This patient complained of severe neck and shoulder pain that he described as unbearable. He told Dr. Zheng that he came to acupuncture because he felt desperate and found that nothing else he had tried provided him with relief from his pain. After 3 treatments, the patient reported that his pain had vanished. He was so pleasantly surprised, but Dr. Zheng was not! The patient described acupuncture as “working like magic” and said that he couldn’t wait to refer his friends to her so they could also experience relief from symptoms they have struggled with for too long.
Dr. Zheng has been practicing acupuncture for the past 5 years and in that time, the most common conditions that she has treated patients for are insomnia, arthritis, migraine headaches, neck, shoulder and low back pain, infertility, disorders associated with menstruation, paralysis, digestive disease, stress, anxiety, and allergies.
Dr. Zheng pointed out that ACA intends to provide all of their patients with an exceptional wellness experience and the Washington Heights location stays true to this mission. With 3 floors of treatment rooms, there is a minimal wait time for appointments and many services to choose from. The services provided at this center are acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Chinese massage (tuina), physical therapy, cosmetic acupuncture, herbal facial, reflexology, cupping, and moxibustion.
Dr. Zheng encourages everyone to try Acupuncture and Chinese medicine to meet the needs of their health and wellness. All you need is an open mind to experience the “magic” of medicine that works with your body, not against it.
